About Me

My name is Erin Giltner and I am born and raised right here in beautiful Chicago! I've always had a passion for hair and makeup, making my decision to attend cosmetology school after high school almost a no brainer. I went to Paul Mitchell the School Chicago in 2005, where I was very involved in school teams and peer mentoring. After graduating I began working at a salon in Arlington Heights, under a Board Certified Colorist, in a Redken Associate program. I spent two years in the Associate Program, working on not only my skills at a stylist, but customer service skills as well. After successfully completing the Redken Associate program, I worked behind the chair for about six months before deciding it was time to follow my heart back to where I always dreamed of working - the city. I worked in Wrigleyville for five years, during which I focused intensely on hair color and  received many certifications for my continued education. I traveled to the Keune Academy in Atlanta, where I successfully became a Keune Certified Colorist. I also traveled to the Redken Academy in New York City where I successfully completed a Color Mastery program. I have focused a large part of my career in the direction of hair color - especially color correction and highlighting services. There is nothing more I love than being able to give someone the hair color they have been dreaming about, while keeping the integrity of their hair as important as the final color.

After my fives years at Styles by Jeffrey, I decided that I was ready for a new adventure….and The Blend House was born! My goal is to make every person who walks into my salon walk out holding their head a bit higher, with their smile shining a bit brighter. I love educating my clients on product, hair care and styling as well as coaching them on the healthy hair - at any color. It is my #1 priority to always be upfront and honest with my guests, coming up with customized “hair journeys” tailored each persons individual needs and lifestyle. I believe each appointment should start with a thorough consultation, assuring both guest and stylist are on the same page. It is my mission to make everyone feel at home in my salon, to create an atmosphere people remember. I couldn’t feel more blessed to do what I do, and now to be doing it in my very own salon.

Cheers to following your dreams.
